The Physicians Quality Reporting System promotes the reporting of quality measures by using a combination of incentive payments and payment adjustments for eligible providers. Individual eligible providers may report quality measures using Individual Physician Quality Reporting or measures groups. One of the following four methods must be used to report the appropriate data:
• Medicare Part B Claims to CMS
• Qualified PQRS Registry
• Qualified EHR Product to CMS
• Qualified PQRS Data Submission Vendor

If the criteria is met by individual eligible professionals for submission of PQRS data using one of the above methods, the provider will be eligible to receive PQRS incentive payments. For services conducted during a 2012 reporting period, the incentive payment during the same reporting period will be equal to .05% of the estimated Medicare Part B PFS allowed charges for the covered professional services.
